“ Stopped for empanadas and drinks twice here on my week long visit. Jenn and Matt are delightful and their food and drinks are delicious. The empanada options change daily - both savory and sweet options. Loved the lavender matcha and lavender latte. They’ve got games for the kids and adults to play while you wait and while you enjoy your breakfast, snack, or lunch. Jenn designs awesome merch which you can find in store and on their website. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in town. ”

“ If you are within 100 miles of this shop, and like speciality coffee, tea or eating, you will want to make this a destination stop! BEST mocha I’ve ever had... They have their coffee specially roasted in Jackson, WY and make their own syrups. BEST chai tea latte I’ve ever had... They used to mix their own chai spices, but now special small-batch order it from Bend, OR. Lovely spicy blend with a ginger finish. BEST empanada I’ve ever had... Homemade and light flaky crust is more like a pie or croissant. Fillings are unique and delicious. We were there for breakfast and had bacon/egg/cheese, and sausage gravy/egg/cheese. Both stunningly good. BEST cozy and homey atmosphere... Like my own log cabin surrounded by mountains. They had games and toys, and sponsor community events like “empanada yoga.” The owner and employee family are talented, friendly and delightful. We learned so much about Wyoming and “life on the range” from our short visit. Don’t miss this tiny treasure!! ”
“ This place was the perfect place to stop while I was passing through. I was hoping to find some place that had coffee, and hit the jackpot — got the best latte ever, and picked up a couple empanadas to go. The owners are a really sweet couple, and we ended up chatting a long time. I found out they just opened recently, and they did such a nice job making the place feel comfortable, that I ended up staying to eat instead of rushing through. They were so gracious and truly good people. I will definitely stop here again! ”
“ My wife (native Argentinian) and I, decided to head to Bondurant WY for a Skijoring event. A good friend @CircleHRanch suggested a visit to Branding Iron Coffee and Empanadas. All I heard was "EMPANADAS" In our home, empanadas are typically only enjoyed on my birthday. So we journeyed from Afton to Bondurant WY. In an awesome snowfall, we saw several Bald Eagles, MountainGoats, and more. Under semi blizzard conditions, there were plenty of hwy markers (open flags) and signage to safely navigate their entry directly off the hwy. The highway was probably not as groomed as well as their parking lot. Probably a bi-product of the consistent flow of traffic. The building itself (not near an adequate description of this awesome space) situated, in what you would expect of a small valley (population 100) town, in the picturesque Wyoming ranges. This beautiful log cabin, almost screams, welcome to a place where time stands still. My wife initially elected to wait in the car. Upon walking up, you are greeted by a young boy being entertained by his k9 companion playfully rolling up snowballs. As I entered the cabin, the aroma of freshly fried/baked empanada dough brought a wave of memories from my only trip to Argentina so far and every birthday. (To this point, I've only experienced the empanadas store bought at a little restaurant in Salt Lake City appropriately named Empanada Co). The next aroma was fresh coffee. Then, almost immediately, my attention was drawn into the essence of this home like feeling and a warm welcoming embrace. It's not often that you come upon spaces that have the ability to demand you feel welcome. There were a few folks there that appeared to have been regulars of sorts. You are greeted immediately with a glass heating case full of fresh empanadas (a man shoveling fresh ones in as fast as fast as a woman was dishing them out). There was plenty of seating, a bar with an expresso machine where this vibrant youthful woman engaged each person with loving magnetism. You definitely could feel and clearly see this was a family owned business. You are greeted to your right of the entry, with the chef de jour, caringly crafting fresh empanadas. With all of the commercial grade fresh dough making equipment, hand tortilla like presses and actual empanada press (i still struggle to do by hand). Everything was very clean, including the restroom. There is an "Empanadas of The Day" menu on a handwritten chalkboard. Today's were Bisquits and gravy with sausage, ham egg and cheese, ruebin sandwich, blueberry and goat cheese, banana, and Nutella. I elected to try 4 of the 5, leaving behind the ham egg and cheese Additionally, I had to try the Branding Iron Latte, a house specialty. I had to get to know these two on a more interpersonal level. Jennifer and Mathew and their son Gannet shared their love and light for life. By now, my wife joined us, and we all got lost in time standing still. Thank you, Jennifer and Mathew, for creating this amazing space and feeding not only our bellies but our souls. If you happen to wander through Bondurant WY stop in and tell them we sent you. BTW never made it to Skijoring ”
